I have been hairdressing for 46 years, so I guess you could say that hairdressing has been a huge part of my life so far. I trained in Karoonda, but in later years, moved to Adelaide where I worked for several employees and had my own mobile service. Returning to Karoonda in 2006 I set up a small business in the main street and also run a mobile service. My business retails in hair products and has expanded into jewellery and fashion accessories.
Over the years I trained as an ambulance office and also in hospitality but always returned to hairdressing.
I keep myself busy on the Farm Fair committee and as the coordinator of the Fashion Parade at the fair. I am also an active member of the Mallee Netball Club plus a few school committees.

Hi, I’m Leanne! I run a small home based business roughly 35km north-east of Karoonda and art is my passion! I specialise in novelty cakes for all occasions including baby showers, birthday, engagement & wedding or indeed any other celebration. I cater to food intolerances in varying degrees, including gluten and lactose free. I love to take on challenging projects and have completed many sculpted cakes that are one of a kind.
I also have artistic paintings for sale both locally and online. My art has won awards at the Loxton Show two years running. Some of my work is on show currently at the Karoonda Community Craft Shop, 27b Railway Terrace. Or you can view my gallery online via my website or Facebook.
I am a local girl, born and raised. When I’m not spending every waking moment with a rolling pin or a paintbrush, I also work at the Karoonda Depot – 27 Railway Terrace, as well as at Viterra over the grain harvest and am a volunteer fire fighter with our local brigade. Sometimes you’ll find me tending the craft shop or the school canteen, or perhaps even on a committee elsewhere.
